The Chamber is excited to announce that its members now have the opportunity to post jobs on the organization's Web site.

Due to the popularity of the Chamber's Web site among individuals looking for information about and considering moving to Fort Smith, job postings are extremely visible. In fact, the Chamber's Web site averages 4,000 hits per month and nearly 19,000 pages accessed each month.

A large number of these Internet users are looking for job listings. According to the Pew Internet Research Project, 52 million Americans have hit the Internet in search of a job. On an average day, more than 4 million people search out new career opportunities online.

Job postings will be sold on a week-by-week basis and can be purchased individually or in packages. Chamber members receive one free two-week posting, with additional individual postings only $5 per week. Different levels of packaging are also available including a Platinum Package that allows unlimited job postings for only $400.

A recent study by the Society for Human Resource Management found that using the Internet to advertise to potential employees was not only easier but far more economical than the traditional route of newspaper advertising. In fact, the study found that the average cost per hire from an Internet recruiting strategy was only $377 dollars compared to the average cost per hire of $3,295 from a metro newspaper.
